P.J Staffing is thrilled to announce our partnership with Candlelighters as a new 'Guardian supporter' in Club Candlelighters. Our 3-year commitment involves raising £5,000 annually to aid Children and Teenagers battling cancer, by pledging our support as a way of being a Guardian, plays a significant role in protecting, improving, and expanding their Candlelighters service across Yorkshire. 

 

Candlelighters holds a special place for us due to their profound impact on young cancer patients and their families. Their holistic support services, driven by a deep understanding of psychology, extend far beyond practical help, embodying boundless compassion. The dedication of the staff and volunteers in fostering nurturing environments for these families during their toughest moments is truly remarkable. Additionally, the charity's active involvement in cancer research adds another layer of significance to their cause.

Our partnership sets off in April with 'Paul’s 104 Mile challenge' – a challenging endeavor of like running 4 marathons in 30 days. Having taken on a similar challenge during lockdown five years ago for the NHS, I am now embarking on this journey again, albeit with a longer break from running. It won't be easy, but my determination to complete this challenge and raise £1,000 for Candlelighters is unwavering. 

 

Today, I was out in the fresh air at 7am, completing a 5K start to kick off the month, down the Leeds and Liverpool canal, with the sun shining and fresh breeze, my legs had a huge wake up call!
