Afternoon All,
With just under 2 weeks to go until Yorkshires turns PINK in aid of Candlelighters Trust, I just wanted to update you on the current activities and who’s already getting involved so far, a huge THANK YOU for those who are already contributing by turning their venue pink, donated a raffle prize or got plans in place and ready for ‘Pink it Up Weekender 2026’ to help raise awareness and reach our fundraising target of £10,000 to support young children with cancer and their family’s across Yorkshire! Saturday 30th May 2026
P.J Staffing is supporting York Mix Radio with Candlelighters at York Pride on the Knavesmire.
Thursday 04th June 2026
Firefly Hub, Evening Networking event at Santander, Park Place Leeds, between 5pm – 7pm, with guests speakers topics on ‘Women in Leadership’ & ‘Candlelighters Trust and the work they do’ & Santander will be sharing insights and support around business growth and finance’, with the go live of ‘Pink it Up Weekender’
Friday 05th June 2026
Candlelighters and P.J Staffing will be in attendance the Yorkshire Choice Awards 2026, with Candlelighters being YCA2026 chosen charity partner for 2026 AND York Mix Radio will be supporting Candlelighters at York Mix Heros Awards, a huge thanks to Victoria, plus venues will continue with their fundraising through raffle prizes, scratch cards and other activities.
Saturday 06th June 2026 – The BIG PINK Lights switch on!
Across both Leeds and York, the lights will turn PINK during the evening across all Leeds civic buildings, including Civic Hall, Town Hall and City Museum, as well as York are lighting up the Bar walls, Cliffords Tower, Millennium Bridge, Bootham Bar, Micklegate Bar, including the Milner Hotel, and Counter Interiors, with all participating venues raising awareness and fundraising, bringing fun & vibrant Pinkness across Yorkshire, with more venues getting involved and final details to be confirmed next week!
I will be making the rounds next week to drop off fundraising materials to those who are participating, which include:
💕 Candlelighters banners and balloons.
💕 Fundraising buckets
💕 Information packs on Candlelighters including fundraising posters with a QR code where people can donate.
